Paula Barr
Artistic Director/Founder

PAULA BARR was raised in Mobile, Alabama. She recently spent eighteen months commuting from New York City to the Gulf Coast for an art commission at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Barr’s two brothers reside in the South; Arthur is a Federal Judge and Donald is Senior Partner is his law firm.

Barr is a world renowned photographer, known for her unique iconic and panoramic images. She created the photographic concept, New York Icons. The book is scheduled to be published next year. Her photographs of New York have been called "classic and breathtaking." She is the inventor of and holds the patent for glass photo tiles. Paula was also commissioned to create the world's largest photograph. This public art project premiered her patented photo tile system, which holds a Guinness Record.

Barr founded Site Images Inc. in 1982 to develop public art projects.

LeAura Luciano
Chief Creative Officer

LEAURA LUCIANO graduated from New York University, with a B.A. in Politics and then from Hofstra University School of Law, 2006. At Hofstra she served as Editor-in-Chief of The Conscience, President of Domestic Violence Courtroom Advocates Project, LALSA, Corporate Law Society, and Entertainment & Sports Law Society.

She is currently the Fashion and Beauty Director of Urban Latino Magazine and Founder of www.FreelanceMakeup.com Luciano’s extensive volunteering activities include Seido Karate Blind Program and Domestic Violence Courtroom Advocates Project. Her past legal experience is with Celebrity Justice, NBC/Court TV and Palm Pictures, New York, NY. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association.

 

Julia Van Haaften
Curator

JULIA VAN HAAFTEN is the Director of the Collections at the Museum of the City of New York.
 
She was the first Curator of Photographs in The New York Public Library's Miriam & Ira D. Wallach Division of Art, Prints and Photographs a position in which she served for twenty years, before becoming Assistant Director of the newly formed Digital Library Program.
 
She has curated many exhibitions for the Library and other institutions and is the author of numerous publications, including the books Berenice Abbott: Photographer, A Modern Vision and From Talbot to Stieglitz: Masterpieces of Early Photography and a biography of Berenice Abbott, published by Simon & Schuster

     

Myriam Rotzetter
Program Director

MYRIAM ROTZETTER is an experienced event manager. She worked for prestigious international organizations such as the Geneva-based World Economic Forum before setting up her own consultancy in Greece for five years. She currently is Administrator of a world renown private art collection in Switzerland. Myriam is the Curator-at-Large of PaulaBarr chelsea and Program Director of SiteImages, Inc.

Rotzetter holds a commercial degree from a Swiss commercial school.

 

 

Marlene Wallach
Strategic Advisor

MARLENE WALLACH is President and Founder of Wilhelmina Creative Management, the artist management arm of Wilhelmina International, the world famous modeling agency.

From early in her career, Marlene has demonstrated devotion to the nurturing of talent. At the American Express Foundation Marlene quickly rose through the ranks to manager where she focused on funding projects in the area of the Arts & Humanities. During her tenure at American Express, Marlene was involved with the Foundation's underwriting of major cultural traveling exhibitions. Marlene was a natural in her role as a liaison between the business and art communities. During this period at AMEX, she was on the Board of Advisors for Performing Space 122 and the Board of Trustees of Riverside Shakespeare Company.  
Marlene received her MBA from Pace University, NY. She serves on the United Jewish Appeal’s Women's Executive Committee and UJA’s Media Division.

 

     

James Lettiere
Legal Advisor

JAMES LETTIERE (New York University, B.A. Political Science, New York Law School, J.D.) worked in the area of financial risk management for various international banks and a commodity trading company, most recently for 11 years with BNP Paribas.

Jim is a supporter of and donor to various cultural institutions in New York city including the Metropolitan Museum, Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum. He also is a supporter of charities including the Robin Hood Foundation and Bridges To Community which builds homes for deserving people in countries such as Nicaragua.
